The Wild Tahoe Festival returns to the Taylor Creek Visitor Center for its 15th year on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This free, family-friendly event combines the longtime Lake Tahoe Bird Festival and Native Species Day into one fun-filled celebration of Tahoe’s incredible wildlife and natural resources. It’s a great way to spend a spring day outdoors with family and friends while exploring and learning more about the plants, birds, and animals of the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Hosted at the Taylor Creek Visitor Center on Highway 89 near South Lake Tahoe, the festival will feature informational booths from a wide variety of wildlife, conservation, and natural resource organizations, along with guided bird and nature walks throughout the day. Visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to explore Tahoe’s unique ecosystems and discover more about the plants and animals that call the region home.
Festival attendees can enjoy:
Guided bird and nature walks
Educational exhibits and interactive booths
Hands-on activities and learning opportunities for all ages
Opportunities to connect with local wildlife and conservation organizations

The Wild Tahoe Festival continues to bring together community partners and nature enthusiasts for a day dedicated to celebrating and protecting the natural beauty of the Tahoe Basin.
