Email info@morrobaybirdfestival.org The 2027 Festival schedule is the most extensive ever, more than 230 events: Field Trips, Boat/Kayak/Bicycle Trips, Presentations/Workshops, Master Classes, Special Events (including 3 keynote speakers). All-day and half-day excursions offer participants the chance to explore a diverse range of habitats, including deep-water pelagic zones, oak woodlands, riparian areas, wetlands, estuaries, and the distinctive grassland of the Carrizo Plain. Workshops delve into a wide spectrum of subjects, from beginner birding classes to gull identification, as well as an exciting new workshop focusing on bats. Exhibit hall opens Friday at Noon. The Morro Bay Bird Festival will be celebrating our 30th year in January, 2027. We have enjoyed a long and successful history, attracting birding enthusiasts from around the country (and a smattering of internationals) who come to see the more than 200 bird species spotted during the festival. We are considered one of the top five bird festivals in the nation. Discover why acclaimed author Scott Weidensaul calls the Morro Bay Bird Festival exceptional.
