2-session class. This introductory class is for students who have little or no experience with 3d CAD and will teach you how to create your own designs using a free program called Onshape that you will enable you to use Onshape at home to continue to create designs in 3d that can be used for digital fabrication on 3d printers, CNC machines or plasma cutters etc. In this workshop, our experienced instructor will guide you, step by step, through the basic design process of using the Onshape program.
This is the prerequisite series for the Advanced CAD Design Series.

A general overview of 3d cad programs
Setting up a free account with Onshape that you can continue to use at home.
Navigating the program.
An introduction to the 3d cad tools
Creating your first simple 3d designs
Exporting the design for 3d printing
Printing the design on a 3d printer
