Auburn Winds Concert Band presents 'Dancing With The Stars,' a free indoor concert at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Conductor Jim Kepfer will lead a fun afternoon of music including Antonín Dvořák's 'Slavonic Dances,” Broadway tunes by Lerner and Loewe, music from the “Star Wars” soundtrack, a Big Band medley, plus hits from legendary stars Billy Joel, Tom Jones, and Otis Redding.
The family-friendly concert will take place at the Placer High School Theater, near High and Agard Streets in Auburn. Admission is free, with donations gratefully accepted. Auburn Winds is a community concert band with 30 volunteer musicians of all ages. In 2016 it was proclaimed the Official Town Band of Auburn. Auburn Winds is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
