There’s something deeply satisfying about shaping wood with your own two hands.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll start with a simple block of wood and transform it into a beautiful, functional wooden utensil using traditional hand tools. Under expert guidance, you’ll learn how to safely and confidently use an axe, carving knife, and scoop knife to shape, hollow, and refine your piece.

This class is perfect for anyone curious about traditional woodworking or wanting to slow down and experience the rhythm of working with hand tools. No prior experience is necessary — just bring your curiosity and a willingness to learn.

By the end of class, you’ll leave with a hand-carved wooden spoon or spatula and the foundational skills to continue carving on your own.
